Al Gore recently spoke out [1] in favor of single-payer universal health care, like the legislation I have drafted, HR 676.

While the presidential campaign has focused attention on universal health care, there are still many who advocate for a solution that looks to insurance companies to fill the void.

Many advocate extending the Congress' coverage plan to the uninsured, or to all Americans. Unfortunately, this federal government plan [2] will not solve the problem of vastly expanding health insurance costs.

We need to get the profit out of health care. Only a single payer plan will achieve this.
