There was an op-ed in this week's Washington Post by Eugene Robinson that I think shouldn't be overlooked. Occasionally, the president will say something that appears to conflict with reality. In the most recent instance, the president sought to draw from the experiences of our conflict in Vietnam to guide his decision making for the Iraq War. While never actually serving in the Vietnam War, the president nonetheless has concluded that the conflict has shown that persisting in an unwinnable war is the best policy for the American people.
